For some, 2020 was the best year of their life and as the featured image can tell Phrixos had his (at least I think he had).
I arrived in Greece beginning of March and a week later the1st lockdown was announced.
I was alone at home and in the middle of some truly radical changes of my life, such as country of residence, main business occupation and others.
The thought of having a pet again (after 10 years without any) was 100% impulsive.
I started looking at various shelters for stray dogs in Greece advertisements and 3 weeks later I found him.
He was 1,5 years old and he had already changed 4 houses …. I couldn’t understand why, he seemed to me the ideal dog for an apartment and I was right! He is the very very best!
Since the 10th of April 2020 that we first met we are 24/7 together.
I gave him the name Phrixos because I like the story of Phrixos and Elli in Greek Mythology but I usually call him with many nick names such as my love, my boy, my man, my heart, my breath and yes, he responds to all of them.
Very soon he became my child – he likes the same things with me, such as long walks, good food, sleep, road trips, sea, beach, friends, sea view, toys, hanging around….
I just can’t think of my life without him. The love that I get from him cannot be described, is 100% unconditional.
So 2020 changed his life and he changed mine!
Tip for those who hesitate to take a stray dog “just do it … you won’t regret it”.
